German pronunciation made easy
If you're just starting to learn German, the best way is to learn it like children learn a language: find the simplest, easiest-to-understand way, and most importantly, memorize it naturally.
The center would like to introduce you to an alphabet learning video from the Lern mit mir - ABC 123 channel on YouTube. The video focuses on the pronunciation of the letters in the German alphabet, suitable for beginners.
You should also pay attention to the learning method: focus only on listening to the pronunciation of the letter, try to listen carefully and repeat it exactly as many times. Don't focus too much on other parts like vocabulary, sentence structure, etc.
Additionally, for some difficult sounds like Ü or Ö, you should ask your teacher to correct them for accuracy.
HOW TO READ IN DETAIL
- Ä: pronounced like "ae" (said quickly and consecutively), called flat E
- Ü: pronounced like the word "uy" but with the mouth rounded into a U shape and held that position when the sound is released.
- Ö: pronounced like "o-ue" (said quickly and consecutively), but with a rounded mouth when releasing the sound.
- H: pronounced ha
- L: pronounced as el (eo), the 'l' sound is pronounced with a curled tongue.
- T: pronounced "the"
- J: pronounced "giot" or "dot" in Vietnamese.
- Q: It's pronounced "kh - cu" very quickly.
- R: pronounced like "e - r" but the r sound is held in the mouth.
- V: pronounced "phao-phau"
- W: pronounced "ve"
- Y: pronounced "uyp xi loong"
The other sounds are pronounced as they are in Vietnamese.
I wish you all the best in your studies.
